Non-executive Directors – our non-executive directors sit on the board of both the trading company and the charity.
Ram Gidoomal, CBE, is a businessman and entrepreneur who over the last twenty years has used his business acumen to support the work of numerous public and charitable organisations.
David is Group Commercial Director for English Lakes Group. He has significant experience of marketing branded consumer goods in highly competitive markets.
Jenny has worked in the international development sector for more than 40 years. She was previously Deputy Director and International Director at Christian Aid
Liz is Director of Rainbow Turtle Just Trading Ltd - a fair trade business and charity based in Paisley.
Margaret is a Non-executive director of the Leeds & York Mental Health Trust. She's also a trustee/patron of a number of charities mainly to do with education, health and poverty in the global south.
Matt is an entrepreneur who runs a group of health and beauty companies including online retail, salons and a consultancy service.
Sarah has more than 30 years’ experience in the development sector. She has worked for a number of international NGOs in senior management positions.
Executive team members
At present all members of the Executive team are also directors of Traidcraft Plc, except Charlotte Timson who is an employee of Traidcraft Exchange.
Andy joined the Board in 2013 and has chaired the audit committee and been the non-executive representative on the monthly Board Finance Committee since that time.
Robin was Managing Director of Germany-based GEPA for seven years before he took up his role as Chief Executive at Traidcraft in October 2016.
Joe joined Traidcraft in the early 1980s and has been a pioneering force in the development of supply chains and products which are now part of mainstream Fairtrade certification.
Joined in 2014 having spent ten years working in international development. She was Country Director for Christian Aid in Malawi and worked with the Fairtrade Foundation and Restless Development leading policy work.
The Traidcraft Foundation holds a guardian share in Traidcraft Plc. Its role is to ensure that all parts of the organisation remain true to our foundation principles:

The Rt Hon Stephen Timms MP (Chair)
Stephen is the Member of Parliament for East Ham and the Shadow Minister for Employment.
Richard is Director of Studies, Lecturer in Christian Ethics and Director of the Ridley Hall ‘Faith in Business’ Project, at Cambridge.
Rosemary was Worldwide President of the Mothers’ Union and represented the organisation at the UN Commission on the status of women.
Michael is a Reader in Christian Ethics at the University of Edinburgh and is a priest in the Scottish Episcopal Church.
David is the Chief Executive of WWF-UK and chairs the WWF’s Global Climate and Energy Initiative. He is also a former Chair of Traidcraft.
